  Establishment of NAFS for Empowerment Consulting psychological and social / Palestine:

There is no doubt that the human soul infected TB like the other members of the body, and many disease self in our country until it became visible to eye-witness, for various reasons, which requires the establishment of associations psychological specialized mutual associations few existing and operating in the Palestinian community; to find effective remedy is indicated by, and the addition of in devising new ways to internalize self, and reveal the therapeutic, and to find solutions to the unrest Tatars self due to the pressure times the political, social, economic … etc., because of hunting events and the rapid developments and difficult on the lives of Palestinian rights, considered a group of specialists and academics assault knowledge and experience in the psychological field , to harness the knowledge and experience in serving the Palestinian society, and contribute their share of humanitarian and moral in the clarification of territory they had mined, to the categories of marginalized groups, and detection of psychological stress experienced by men, women and children alike, and then work to find effective treatment, and reduce shipments of violent as well as for guiding the society towards the mechanisms and activities of the psychological and guidance targeted, working on re-education, balance and empowerment to become the society around them a source of creativity, hope and positive interaction, and these functions great will the founders of the Society “the same to enable” diligently, faithfully and consistently in order to achieved, but will take them to justify their existence , and a measure of their success and continue to provide service to our people patient. The Association has taken “the same to enable” it upon themselves to serve the Palestinian community, and identified its vision in helping its members to psychological and social adjustment, to achieve access to mental health, empowerment and live safely. Identified as its mission to ease the rate of violence and stress, and tension caused by wars, torture, and psychological and social problems … etc, to create a citizen is able to adapt to reality, and enable it to meet current and future challenges safely. The objectives are many and varied, including: access to the largest possible number of members of the Palestinian people and enable them psychologically and socially, and restore their balance psychological, and the reduction of psychological problems resulting from poverty, unemployment and ill-treatment, and provide psychological assistance to the marginalized women and children and young people.

And improve us and we are going to profile “Association the same to enable the” psychological counseling and social development, which would lend a helping hand and assistance to many groups in the Palestinian community, to thank the competent authorities of all, which was fully aware of the importance of this type of association, facilitated the establishment process difficulty, , has initiated members of the Constituent Assembly immediately after obtaining the authorization to hold their first meeting, for trading in technical issues, procedural and administrative related to the work of the Assembly at the present and future.

After three years of the association’s work , activism and publishing, the pubic congress of the association was held on 16/11/2013 to elect the association’s new board members that will be valid until 16/11/2015. This board consists of head of the board, Dr. Ibrahim Nimir, secretary general, Jultan Hassan Abu Hameed, deputy of the head of board, Durgham Abed Al-Aziz, treasurer Mrs. Sahab Adel Inirat, public relations officer, Dr. Fahmi Abodi, Mr. Ayssar Issa Sarsor, member of woman affairs committee and membership of Mr. Salman Faraj, Mr. Mohammad Mahmoud Mahjnah, and Mr. Yasser Ghazi Alawnah representing professional committee. The executive director of Nafs Empowerment association is Nasser Mattar.

After  six years of work, progress, dedication & determination, the association’s conference was held in 19th February-2017 and the election results were as the following: DR. Joltan Abo Hmeed the president of administration , DR. Ibrahim Mousa the amanuensis , DR.Abdul Aziz Beni Odeh for the financial work , MR Dergham Abdul Aziz vice president , the membership of (Sahab Neraat , Mohammad Mahajneh , Sharif Nassar , Mahmoud Talalweh & Suliman Nimer ) and MR Nasser Mattar continues as the executive director of Nafs .

  Goals:

  1. Help and rehabilitate the Palestinian society members through empowering them psychologically, socially and legally in order to achieve the psychosocial well-being.
  2.  Contribute to decreasing the psychological problems for the marginalized groups (Women, Children, Youth and people with special needs) who are suffering from poverty, unemployment, abuse and discrimination.
  3.  Intervene to achieving psychosocial balance for the people suffering of wars, torture and disasters in the Palestinian community

Empowerment Refer to:
Empowerment strategy that aims to liberate the potential of individuals, and involved in the construction of the Organization, as the success depends on the harmony of the needs of individuals and the use of existing experience of individuals to improve the performance and decisions of public and private, and contribute to the development plans, which increase the entrepreneurial spirit and determination they have to perform tasks and encourage them and provide them with tools and means of force required to plan their activities and the completion of their work, and its performance, quality and high quantity, so that officials become fully responsible for it. And reward, and motivation to launch the initiative and their creativity, and free them from restrictions and gain the strength needed to make decisions. And instill confidence in them the importance of what they are doing their work and bear the consequences of these decisions and are qualified to meet the Problems and difficulties, crises and address them through what have the knowledge and expertise.

why is our goals to help empower workers?
The empowerment of workers and strengthen their resistance to self-need a great effort, can not be done withoutt faith in leaders and managers of its importance and its benefits are often needed to develop individuals and their abilities and skills to solve problems and confront and challenge it. In light of this, you must work on the development of leadership skills and management and the development of techniques and methods which can be used, e.g.: Leadership skills, Planning, Time management Skill, Problem Solving, Decision Making,,, and team building a successful team skills ., and management of emotions and Technical skills to deal effectively with the developments and the challenges of the era and the environment constantly renewed, which was in many of the challenges, pressures, including:

  • Stress accumulated and growing day by day.
  • Recent technological developments and rapid.
  • The requirements of high speed with complete accuracy.
  • Wars, natural disasters and the continuing human.
  • Oppression and torture of many people in undemocratic societies and occupied.
  • Requirements for increased efficiency in work and regulatory institutions.
  • Requirements related to human and team work and the satisfaction of needs and concerns of post.
  • Increase the needs and expectations of family and household.
  • Conflict and conflict between management and employees.
  • Changes in the international financial crisis (unemployment and inflation).
