Nafs for Empowerment continued the activities of the project to support children and their families who suffered from the impacts of Covid 19 Pandemic that is implemented in Jalazoun and Qalandia Refugee Camps through the Fund of Hoping Foundation. The activities are implemented in cooperation with UNRWA in the two targeted refugee camps. The activity was about alternatives to violence and was conducted by facilitators Abood Hamed and Rita Ammar accompanied by other volunteers from the organization. During the session, a series of theoretical and practical activities were endorsed in order to provide participants with space to debrief pressure and negative emotions. Participants were involved in activities that enhance team spirit among participants. One of the activities is the thoughts star that is dedicated to enhance the values of tolerance among children. Additionally, students were introduced to the forms of violence and the mechanism to face such practices in non- violent way. Participants were trained on finding alternative to violence tools for communication and solving conflicts. At the end of the session, the participants highly appreciated the activity and expressed willingness to be involved in similar activities in the future.
