Nafs for Empowerment commenced a workshop for the counselors working for Aziz Shasheen Secondary Girls School- Ramallah about the psycho- social pressure to develop the capacity of the counselors and equip them with new techniques in dealing with students under pressure. The workshop that was implemented by the trainer Nasser Mattar, director- general of Nafs for Empowerment, included a series of theoretical and practical activities to enable counsellors debrief pressure and deal with the violence inside them and the violence that students might have. Additionally, the trainer focused on enhancing the educational and counseling role of the counselors. The workshop was arranged thanks to the initiative of the school principal and the counselor of the school to improve the communication channels between the school team in order to return with positive impacts on the students. The workshop is within the framework of the activities that Nafs for Empowerment implements in coordination with the ministry of education, Ramallah Directorate in order to improve the capacity of the schools counselors and decrease the pressure imposed on them.
