This training is part of the Palestinian Enlightenment Cultural Forum’s(Tanweer) efforts to raise awareness about the concepts and importance of psychological first aid. It is a continuation of the first session held a few months ago. The second phase began today and will be conducted through a series of diverse training sessions, including activities of dual, triple, and quadruple dimensions.
The sessions are led by expert Mr. Nasser Matar from the Nafas Empowerment Center. Mr. Matar praised the Enlightenment Forum’s focus on such training, emphasizing its current and future relevance. He noted that this training serves as a foundation for establishing field teams in coordination and partnership with active organizations in the field.
Wael Al-Faqih, Director of the Enlightenment Forum, explained that these training sessions align with the Forum’s vision and objectives and are supported by the Youth Partnership Forum. He highlighted the importance of the training program, titled “Partners in the Field,” which stresses the essential role of psychosocial first responders alongside physical first aid teams, with active participation from women.
Al-Faqih also confirmed that practical training would be provided to enhance participants’ skills and integrate them into field-based psychosocial support teams in the Nablus governorate.
