With the Start of a New Year… New Horizons of Hope and Recovery
As part of the Horizons of Recovery project, a special celebratory event was held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, targeting 200 children from the displacement camps and shelters in northern Gaza. The event focused on providing an inclusive and supportive environment, with special attention given to children with disabilities, allowing them to participate in this extraordinary occasion.
This event was more than just a celebration; it was a moment of change, where we gave children the opportunity to express their feelings and escape from their daily struggles. Amid the pain these children experience, the event became a space for joy and connection, transcending the boundaries set by harsh circumstances.
As part of the Horizons of Recovery project, and in partnership with Americares, we continue our efforts to provide psychological and social support to the community during these challenging times. We aim to alleviate the psychological pain that has accumulated as a result of the war’s effects, through activities aimed at addressing anxiety, fear, and equipping children with the tools necessary to cope with the psychological pressures they face.
Our message goes beyond providing direct support; we are here to be partners in these children’s journey toward recovery. We support them, stand by their side, and help them regain their psychological balance so they can face the challenges of the future with a stronger spirit and renewed hope.
