Amid the ongoing war, with the escalation of bombing and destruction, children find themselves facing enormous psychological challenges. Their hearts are filled with sadness and anxiety, and their minds are burdened with unrelenting pressures. The forced displacement centers, which have become the only refuge for many Palestinian families seeking safety, have turned into a new source of pain, as children there lack even the most basic elements of normal life.
These sessions are not merely moments of amusement or entertainment; they are real opportunities to rebuild the self and strengthen the ability to cope with the harsh reality. They offer children a chance to feel part of the world once again, away from the horrors of war and death.
Despite the harsh circumstances, hope still exists in the eyes of these children, but this hope requires our continued support. Protecting the rights of children in Gaza demands more than just providing food and shelter; it requires creating a safe psychological environment that ensures their growth and development, free from the impacts of war.
