Within the “Wosool”project funded by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and in partnership and implementation with the Nafs For Empowerment, the Nafs staff in the Gaza Strip opened a training course for facilitator trainers for psychosocial support in Mawasi Khan Yunis. The activity targeted facilitators in the field, as these activities aim to Alleviating the psychological and social tensions and pressures that our people and the trainers and facilitators are exposed to, and enabling them to know how to deal with these pressures and difficulties during their work. And develop them professionally to carry out their role in providing psychosocial support services and last for three days, entitled Empowering facilitators of psychological support in self-care skills and psychological interventions in times of emergency. The first training session was led by Dr. Dhia Abu Aoun, in discussing the team’s expectations from the training and assessing their needs. The training is based on a field reality with the application of many psychological and recreational support activities and providing the trainees with many skills in integrating learning activities through play and integrating them with support activities for children and how to facilitate psychological support sessions professionally to draw a smile on the faces of children. The training also included the application of many educational and psychological activities that It can be implemented with children during support sessions.
