Sunday 5/4/2021: Conclude the training course about Alternative Tools to Violence commenced at Sueer Women Center. The training was commenced by Nafs through Trainer Nasser Mattar (Director General) in cooperation with YWCA (Makani Project). The Project coordinator at YWCA, Ms. Raghda Taqatqa played a significant role in arranging for the training that lasted for 12 hours for a group of 15 women participants. The training included activities and exercises to enhance collective work as well as introducing participants to skills to control and manage anger. Trainers were trained on how to transfer energy into positive power. Likewise, participants were provided with space to debrief pressure as well as introducing them to tools alternative to violence. By the end of the training, trainees expressed appreciation for participating in such training as it will be reflected positively on their life. Trainees expressed willing to transfer knowledge and skills to others in order to contribute to decreasing volume of violence within the community and launch local initiatives to improve the quality of life of women and enhance women’s role within the community.
